Retreat Centers: Youth Retreats

Our young people live in a world with many competing voices often calling them away from God and the Church. We would like to help give young people the opportunity to hear God's voice by going to a peaceful place where Jesus might more easily be heard. St. Joseph's Salesian Retreat Center is dedicated to youth ministry and helping the young encounter Jesus Christ. We are the only retreat center in the Los Angeles Archdiocese with programs exclusively for young people and for those who work with them. St. Joseph's is a kid friendly place!

Owned and operated by the Salesians of St. John Bosco and a member of Retreats International, St. Joseph's welcomes more than 10,000 young people each year, providing retreat and spiritual formation programs designed to meet their needs and assist their faith development.

St. Joseph's can accommodate up to 120 in our large conference room for a day retreat or up to 94 in our two large comfortable dormitories. In addition to the two meeting rooms, there are dining rooms, a commercially equipped kitchen, and a beautiful chapel as well as 10 acres of lawns and gardens.

The staff of St. Joseph's is available to give talks and design retreats, workshops, and seminars in a wide range of topics in addition to what is outlined below. Programs can be designed to meet your students' specific needs. The overriding goal in every retreat outline offered below is the building of community leading to friendship and the reality of each person's vocation to live out our Baptismal commitment by sharing the gifts God has given.

We are conveniently located in the city of Rosemead, just 15 minutes east of downtown Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. We are 2 blocks north of the Pomona (60) Freeway near the Paramount off ramp.
