A young person making application to Candidacy who has not completed at least two years of college will be encouraged to make this the first priority while living in discernment. This is preferably done while living in the context of a Salesian Community, but distance may make this choice prohibitive. In such cases, the Candidate will be asked to maintain regular intervals of contact with a particular Salesian Community, a Salesian Director, and a Spiritual Director.
