
The Salesian Youth Endowment Fund assists economically poor youth who wish the benefits of a Christian education. The Fund is in partnership with the Salesian schools of the San Francisco Province to provide a Catholic education and Christian environment for young Catholics unable to attend a Salesian school because of financial need. Through benefactors and friends of the Society, this Fund was established by the Salesians of St. John Bosco in 1977.
From the Walter W. Cranston Estate, part of the Salesian Youth Endowment Fund, the following disbursements have been made for the 1998-1999 school year:
The grand total of $82,302 has been awarded to students in Salesian schools who would not otherwise have been able to attend.
