you gave us your Son as the Good Shepherd
who laid down his life to save us all.
It is your Son who captured the heart of Don Bosco
enabling him to put into motion
a vast movement to save the youth of the world.
That same passion captured the heart of Michael Rua,
John Bosco’s first successor.
M
ichael’s enflamed heart rested in the Sacred Heart of your Son and led him to promote the vitality of the Salesian Mission
into the whole world.
As we prepare for our Provincial Chapter,
we begin a spiritual and pastoral journey
in imitation of the fidelity and trust of Michael Rua.
Help us to preserve fidelity to our vocation of consecration.
Help us to be Don Boscos for our time and place
by living the Constitutions and developing a clear plan of life.

nflame our hearts with the spirit of Da Mihi Animas so that we may begin afresh from Don Bosco
in our mission to evangelize the young and their families.
May that witness of faith be supported by an evangelical poverty
and may these together inspire vocations to our mission.
May they propel us into the future
with the heart of the Good Shepherd
seeking ever newer frontiers
for reaching and accompanying the young
in every situation into which you send us.
