Last week was spring break for us at Seton Hall and while most of my classmates were anxiously awaiting the opportunity to visit family or head south to escape the winter, I was being sent to Washington D.C. Bishop Mora Salesian High School was beaming on March 6, 2015. It was a very special day on the Salesian campus. Not only did the Class of 1965 celebrate their Golden Diploma Ceremony with a school mass but members of the Class of 1964 unveiled their gift to the school. Muralist, David Botello ’64, of East Los Streetscapers was commissioned by the Class of 1964 to create a mural of St. John Bosco.

Dear Salesian sisters and brothers,

Today, after having lunch with the community of Sts. Peter and Paul, I will drive down to Los Angeles.  Tomorrow, Thursday, I will be at Don Bosco Tech, attending an all morning Board Meeting.  On Friday to Sunday, I will participate in the Religious Education Congress in Anaheim.

Salesian Students Produce Film on Don Bosco Bicentenary Celebration (San Francisco)

With a newly formed student Film Club, seven students from Salesian College Preparatory in Richmond, California took on an ambitious student film project, "The Bicentenary of Don Bosco's Birth."

The student-run Salesian Film Club's goal was to document and capture the spirit of the bicentenary celebration of Don Bosco's birth at Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco, California. You can view their film production and let them know how they did!

Salesian Come and See Weekend (February 13-15th, Berkeley)

Back in December, Fr. Jose Lucero, was kind enough to invite me to be part of the team for the ‘Come and See’ weekend, organised for men interested in finding out more about Salesian Consecrated Life. The team reflected the rich diversity of the Salesian vocation, including Juan Carlos Montenegro and Frs. John Roche and Manuel Camilleri from Don Bosco Hall. With Fr. Dear Salesians,

God acts on His time.

Noel de Bruton entered eternity at 3:45 pm, Jan. 9, 2015.

He died at the Norwalk Skilled Nursing facility. Pray for Noel and for the community of St. John Bosco High School.

In every community a requiem Mass for Noel and one for Carmine.

God called Fr. Carmine Vairo, SDB to eternal life on January 8th, 2015, 4:55 PM.

We pray for Fr. Carmine’s eternal happiness and join in sympathy with his brother, John, and sister, Antoinette.

Retirement & Care Center, Los Angeles.
