In these concluding days of the Easter season, our Extraordinary Visitation is also coming to an end.  As I write this, Father Esteban Ortiz is busy putting together his final report, which he will deliver to the province in two places at once!  Live and in real time, he will give us the final report exactly where the whole Salesian presence in the United States had its beginning, Sts.

I have just returned from Mexico City where I had the honor to give an opening talk at the provincial chapter of the province there (MEM).  Their chapter is being held in a beautiful Salesian retreat house some 2000 meters above Mexico City.

Dear Brother and Sister Salesians:

Last week I wrote while our provincial chapter was still in session.  We were in the midst of concluding our discussions on the PROVINCE HANDBOOK: PLANS AND POLICIES and we were close to the final rounds of work on our contribution to the General Chapter in Rome.
