The Lone Star State is home to Salesians since 1935, when Daughters of Mary Help of Christians were forced here out of Mexico. Since then, they've been joined by Salesians, alumni, and Cooperators.

Texans fought for independence at a small abandoned mission here in 1836. It was and is known as the Alamo. They lost, but prepared the way for victory at San Jacinto later that year.
