Don Bosco Associates Spring Luncheon
The Associates were very enthusiastic as old friendships were renewed and new friendships were made. Everyone was delighted to hear that Salesian schools in the Province continue to experience growth in applications. Much of this growth can be attributed to providing an excellent education in a friendly and safe Christian environment. On display during the luncheon was artwork from students at St. Francis High
School in Watsonville. Heidi Gottfried, the Fine Arts Fr. David Purdy, Provincial of the Western Province, thanked those who attended the luncheon and spoke of the work of the Salesians in the Province. He concluded his remarks by asking that the Associates and all those who have been inspired by the spirit of John Bosco to share that inspiration with their friends and family. Only by sharing the message of St. John Bosco can the Salesians continue their work of helping the young and the poor.
